" I was experiencing network traffic that was causing repetitious
event log entries. With the help of your product, I was able to isolate not
only the protocol and ports used, but also pinpoint the machine(s) producing
the unwanted traffic.
As a bonus, I was able to export the info into a readable format so that I
could forward it to the responsible party, and basically show them THEIR problem
wasn't mine. Thanks for making such a great tool. The added support for NT/2K
is invaluable. Keep up the good work."

" The reason for our download was simply for testing purposes, looking to see if it is a program our clients could use or not. While it did work quite well, they decided on going with a hardware solution instead (against our better judgment). We will certainly keep Sniff'em in mind if the situation arises again. Thanks for your help!"

" I am a Team Leader in a network support group, and however nowadays we don't have problems at our customers that would make it neccessary to use a packet sniffer, I feel that an application like this must be in a networking support engineer's toolbox. I find the features "Sniff'em" has quite useful. I have started to compare the prices and features the similar programs have starting from ***'s sniffer, which is perfect, but extremely expensive."

" I downloaded Sniff'em because I wanted to verify whether a Java applet I have been using does indeed explicitly request Proxy: No-Cache when downloading images from a remote server, and thereore by-passes the caching capabilities of the web browser being used. This in turn causes slow performance in virtual tours. Sniff'Em works a treat for this purpose."

" I am a developer of going on 10 years now and have recently moved into game dev. My upcoming project is a MMORPG that will require a great deal of packet analysis not only to reduce lag but to help us to create a secure data stream from hackers that would attempt to subvert the communications between the clients and the server. So my uses for a product of this type are more along the lines of straight packet sniffing and bandwidth concerns and not so much LAN network analysis."
